Katie O'Sullivan

Majoring in English and Geography

About Me

 As the Anglo-Saxons would have said;

Hū Gœð it mid þē todæg?

Or to return to a more familiar form of English; how are you today?
Hopefully all is good! Now, following that brief lesson in Old English, how would you like to get to know a bit more about me?

This is me.

My name is Katie and currently I am in my third and final year of studying Arts (that’s the Liberal Arts if you’re from the United States) in University College Cork, Ireland (see map below).

I have created this blog for the purpose of being assessed in a seminar module for English, ”Textualities: Text, Technology and Digital Cultures”, co-taught by Dr. Orla Murphy and Jack Murray ; in case you were wondering. Beyond this I intend to use it as a platform to highlight my interests in the diverse and extensive fields of English and Geography and share just a few of my ideas.

Given time, I will cover a large range of content including my reflections on class discussions, as well as providing an insight into my past and current studies. On this note, please feel free to take a look at the group blog ‘Drawing from the archives’  which I am also contributing to for a Geography module dealing with cities; historically and in modernity.

Thanks for tuning in.
